Lakeridge Winery hosts 2nd Annual Wine & Seafood Festival

Seriously, what goes better than Florida sun, good wine, seafood & music? Not much. Stepping out the weekend of March 12 - 14th for the 2nd Annual Wine & Seafood Festival at the Lakeridge Winery in Central Florida is just about as perfect a late winter-spring launching day can bring.

All outdoors and under a beautiful Florida sky, this festival offers up an assortment of seafood flavors and opportunities. Add in the more than 100 arts & crafts venders, live music, and the award-winning Lakeridge wines and you’ve got a day to remember.

Held Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm, a $2.00 admission donation to benefit The Autism Society of Greater Orlando. Parking is free.

Have to say - that’s something I love about these Lakeridge events - the entrance fee always seems to be for a worthy cause. So getting out there and enjoying your day brings a smile not just to your face, but to whomever the folks at Lakeridge are helping out. That’s cool.

Bring your chairs and blankets and relax while sipping your wine and munching on a tasty seafood snack. Soft drinks and beer are also on tap, and don’t miss the free Winery tour while you’re there. There’s even a gift shop.

Bring a blanket, sip a glass of wine, snack on seafood, and enjoy the live music. What a perfect Florida day. Photo courtesy of Lakeridge Winery.

Music, did I mention music? Yea - I did!

Saturday the 13th 10 - 1:30, Blues Train, 2 - 5, Tory Wynter

Sunday the 14th 11 - 1:30, The Lavell Kamma Band, 2 - 5, The Robert Harris Group

Ok gang, have to admit, haven’t made the trip to Lakeridge Winery yet, and haven’t had the pleasure of attending one of the many events they host throughout the year, but… it really looks and sounds awesome, and if you’re looking for a grand way to spend a day this weekend, get out there!

Don’t forget, Lakeridge also sells their wines at groceries throughout Florida. They also have a newsletter you can subscribe to online for the latest on their events, wine, and even recipes.

How to get there:

US Hwy 27, 3 miles south of the Florida Turnpike Exit 285 and 6 miles north of Clermont. About 25 miles west of Orlando via Hwy 50 and 30 miles north of Walt Disney World via US 27.

Its a lovely drive in the country to get to this 127 acre winery site.

Thanks to the good folks at Lakeridge for providing the information.
